Corporate Social Responsibility
CWT aims to strike the right balance between the economy, people and the environment, and to operate a business where corporate responsibility is fully integrated in its day-to-day operations. CWT is the first travel provider in the Netherlands that operates on a completely carbon-neutral basis.
A range of internal environment measures have been implemented to address our sustainability challenges. These measures include waste segregation and recycling, energy-saving programs, using only FSC paper for printing purposes, carbon-neutral mail delivery, an energy-efficient car fleet, procurement of sustainable goods, reduction in paper consumption, choosing environmentally sound suppliers and avoiding the use of hazardous materials in office furniture and at our sites. The remainder of our carbon emissions is fully offset by participating in environmental projects, for which we have been granted an official certificate.

Green Feather 2010 goes to CWT Netherlands
CWT Netherlands has been awarded the ‘Greenest Initiative 2010 Feather’ for initiatives in
the field of sustainability. The Dutch travel trade journal Reisrevue presents Feather awards
annually. The Feathers go to travel agents that offer the best range in a specific category. The
sector views the Feathers as leading professional awards.
Using the expertise of professional partners, CWT advises and assists clients in successfully tackling any environment-related challenges regarding their travel policy. In the field of reduction and offsetting CWT has partnered with The Carbon Neutral Company and GreenSeat.
The Carbon Neutral Company
The Carbon Neutral Company offers a comprehensive set of services to reduce and offset carbon emissions. This international provider has offices in New York, London and Singapore and operates according to a Quality Assurance program. The organisation participates in various carbon offset programs across the globe.
GreenSeat
GreenSeat is part of the Climate Neutral Group, market leader in the Benelux. The Climate Neutral Group is a social venture company with the aim to help as many organizations and individuals with becoming climate neutral. Climate neutral means a life without negative impact on the climate. The Climate Neutral Group operates on a non-profit professional basis, so it is not dependent on grants or donations.
How does emission offsetting work?
Climate compensation for your business trip does not only mean offsetting the carbon dioxide (CO2), but of all greenhouse gases. This is expressed in the so-called CO2 equivalent.
With the CWT Program Management Center you can easily calculate the emission before your trip. With the same tool you can also determine the actual emissions after your trip. We can use this data to invest in quality projects via our international partners. You will receive information on the sustainable project that you support.
Naturally it is also possible to use the data to compensate via another party then our trusted partners.
