On the 6th of July the sixth new Airbus 320 “Ludovico Ariosto’’ has joined the fleet. Further 8 new Airbusses 320 will be delivered this year and, by 2013, the new Alitalia will count 90 Airbus 320’s in its fleet. The new Alitalia’s Airbus 320 has leather seats, designed for maximum comfort, and individual interactive screens.
Alitalia and AirOne merge their reservation systems
From the 3rd of July Alitalia and Air One share the same platform for reservations, ticketing and check in. In "raw numbers’’ it means 670,000 tickets information and 250,000 bookings moved, within two days, from AirOne to Alitalia’s information platform, used in more than 50 Italian airports. Fare combinability with Air France/KLM (intercontinental flights)
Alitalia (AZ), Air France (AF)/KLM customers are now able to combine their two flight legs on both airlines and have easier access to the best fares available. Travellers benefit from an even wider choice of flight times and have the opportunity to select the schedule most convenient for their travel needs.
With fare combinability passengers can build their own trip to destinations operated by both airlines or just by one of them, combining a flight leg on their outward journey flying Alitalia via Rome with a return flying KLM to Amsterdam.
